Starbucks is giving customers more reasons to stop by this fall as it continues to reshape its menu and refresh the brand.

The coffee giant has spent much of the past year simplifying its offerings, adjusting its approach to customization, and introducing new ways to bring customers back into its stores. Now, it is adding another set of seasonal offerings just weeks after its fall menu debuted.

The latest release combines limited-time food and beverages with merchandise tied to one of the world’s most recognizable entertainment franchises.

The launch comes as Starbucks’ broader turnaround begins showing some early signs of progress.

Starbucks uses seasonal launches as part of its turnaround strategy

The latest seasonal additions and Peanuts collaboration come as part of Starbucks’ broader “Back to Starbucks” strategy.

The plan is designed to strengthen Starbucks’ brand identity, simplify operations, and improve customer experience. According to the company, its priorities include:

  • Modernizing beverages and food
  • Simplifying the menu to reduce friction and improve speed
  • Enhancing store design and operational efficiency
  • Prioritizing coffee quality
  • Empowering baristas

Starbucks has also streamlined its menu, reduced customization complexity, and eliminated extra charges for milk alternatives.

In early 2025, the company discontinued nine Frappuccino options, along with other beverages and food items, as part of an effort to simplify its menu.

Seasonal products can also create urgency around a specific launch, giving customers a reason to visit during a limited window. Starbucks has repeatedly used that approach, with some seasonal offerings becoming major moments for the brand.

The company saw a particularly strong response to its traditional Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) release in 2026.

PSL Day 2026, held on Tuesday, Aug. 25, was one of Starbucks’ busiest days of the year to that point, with visits increasing 25.7% above the company’s year-to-date daily average, according to Placer.ai.

Here’s some of my previous coverage on more Starbucks menu launches:

Visits were also up 35.1% above the 2026 Tuesday average, while foot traffic rose 6.7% compared with PSL Day 2025.

“Pumpkin season is only getting started. And with back-to-back launches driving outsized traffic, Starbucks is showing how effectively it can turn limited-time moments into repeat reasons to visit,” Placer.ai Content Manager and Industry Expert Lila Margalit said in a statement.

The traffic data provides evidence that seasonal launches can generate meaningful customer interest. However, Starbucks’ broader turnaround reflects a range of operational, financial, and customer-experience initiatives rather than seasonal products alone.

Starbucks sees early signs of a business turnaround

The latest product launches come as Starbucks reports improvements in its North America business.

During the third quarter of fiscal 2026, the company reported:

  • North America revenue: Grew 7% year over year.
  • Comparable store sales: Increased 8.1%.
  • Comparable transactions: Climbed 4.5%.
  • Average ticket: Rose 3.5%.
  • Starbucks 90-day active U.S. members: Reached 35.8 million.

“Our operational discipline and cost savings work are making us a more focused, nimble company that prioritizes better, spends smarter, and invests with intent,” Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol said during the company’s latest earnings call.

“We’re now seeing the benefits of that work, and as our revenues grow, more is flowing through to earnings.”

Niccol also said Starbucks remains ahead of schedule in achieving its turnaround plan, while pointing to marketing and innovation as contributors to the company’s recent resilience.

The results offer stronger evidence of a recovery than any individual seasonal launch. At the same time, the traffic response to PSL Day suggests that limited-time products can give customers another reason to visit stores.

What this means for Starbucks customers

For customers, the latest rollout means more limited-time options arriving as Starbucks enters the fall season.

Returning and seasonal favorites give customers access to familiar products, while the new beverages and food items add more choices during the promotion. The Peanuts collaboration also expands Starbucks’ seasonal offerings beyond food and beverages with collectible merchandise.

“We’ll keep driving fandom with a steady pace of buzz-worthy merch launches and continued innovation season after season,” said Niccol.

Whether these launches can sustain the traffic gains Starbucks has recently reported remains to be seen. The company’s latest results suggest that the broader turnaround is gaining traction, while seasonal products and marketing provide another tool for keeping customers engaged.
